Contests!

To celebrate our 10th market, we’re having a couple just-for-fun contests!

One will be a vendor contest- vendors and shoppers will fill out a ballot and winners will receive prizes, with the top prize being a free and guaranteed booth space next time around. Voting will take place from 10-3

Our other contest will be BEST DRESSED

Top prize is $100 cash!

Meet the Vendors

Tamara gravitates toward natural fibers like linen, cotton/denim, silk, and wool. She loves finding embroidered pieces, workwear, everyday staples, and pieces that are easy to wear. She aims to create a space where everyone feels welcome.

Codye sells dreamy handmade sterling silver jewelry, alongside a fun and colorful collection of vintage ranging from 60’s- 2000s

The Lucky Stranger (Minneapolis, MN)

Rachel’s booth is a well curated collection of 40’s-70’s dresses, workwear, and basics, athletic wear, and more. She always has some antique pieces and 90’s country tees.

B’s Knees Vintage Clothier (Des Moines, IA)

Brenda at B’s Knees carries hand picked true vintage clothing from 1890s-1970s including special occasion, casual and work wear.

Space Ghost Vtg. (Madison, WI / Phoenix, AZ)

True vintage, focusing on 1940s to 1970s including work wear, denim, militaria, Americana, and anything else that has a history!
One would expect to find those eras of clothing in both men and women’s in Rafael’s booth!

Obsession Vtg. (Des Moines,IA)

Isabelle’s booth is a mix of looks and styles made with true vintage pieces from the 1970s primarily.

Juju’s Vintage (Des Moines, IA)

Julianna brings the heat. She sources 60’s-90’s vintage, with a variety of men’s, women’s, and kid’s. If you’re looking for a rad paper thin old tee, hers is the booth to check first!

Jive Finds (Des Moines, IA)

Kaylee finds and collects classic styles that still feel modern today. Most pieces are from the 60s/70s but I have pieces that are Edwardian and from the 20s-40s. She always has a good selection of denim and graphic vintage tees.

Bludacris (Des Moines, IA)

Blu stocks a great selection of 90's and earlier T-shirts crewnecks, jackets and coats in a wide range of sizes

State Mint (Des Moines, IA)

Michael’s got the goods! 1950’s to 2000’s. Band tees, work wear, denim and leather.

Fruit Bats Finery (Des Moines, IA)

Fruit Bats Finery serves and interests spunky home decor, plants, and garments. They offer original art including reworked busts, repainted planters, canvas paintings, and latch hooks. Fruit Bats Finery generates the wardrobe of every daredevil. They’ve got a healthy addiction for collecting western boots and badass leather outerwear. FBF also appeals to our cottage core pixie girls with dainty antique intimates. You’ll be satisfied with your unique and original finds after leaving their sister duo booth.

DSM stash is a curated selection of vintage focusing on clothing from the 1960’s and 70’s with styles ranging from casual to bold statement pieces

Found + Formed (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Found+Formed brings it all-- vintage clothing and accessories for all sizes, styles, and vibes. They have a curated collection of vintage spanning all eras with a focus on fun wearable pieces. Check out their brick and mortar shop in Cedar Rapids, IA

Red Lantern Leatherworks (Viroqua, WI)

Ashley sells a variety of handmade leather goods from jewelry to belts, harnesses and more! She is also a vintage clothing lover and will feature a rack of it alongside her beautiful handmade items.

Poweshiek Trading Post (Grinnell, IA)

PTP is a brick and mortar shop in Grinnell specializing in 1890’s-1990’s Workwear, military, western wear and heritage clothing + Authentic Native American Jewelry + antique home decor.

Run 4 The R0ses (Des Moines, IA)

Hannah serves“Psycho acid chic” in the way of beautiful textiles, 30s/40s dresses, fun jewelry, and Grateful Dead wear galore. Think Jerry Garcia if he lived through the Great Depression.

Odd Girl Vintage (Des Moines, IA

Claire curates collections of vintage and thrifted women’s clothing, ranging from the 60s - 90s! When hand-picking pieces, she is drawn to florals, bows and ribbons, lace, and other feminine touches!

Big Hoss (Clyde, IA)

Big Hoss is a western shop that has items for the cowboy on the ranch to saloon girl lingerie pieces. Bringing the West to the Midwest.

Trouser Town Vintage (Des Moines, IA)

Trouser Town is mainly focused on denim from the 1960’s to 90’s. They like to stock really washable and wearable items in a large size range- so there is something for every body and lifestyle! There is a focus on classic basics with some more eclectic pieces sprinkled in.

Awkward Company Vintage (Des Moines, IA)

Awkward Company Vintage focuses on Mid Century and eclectic finds from the midwest. They curate lots of funky and colorful clothing, home goods and accessories. Outside of Mid Century they also offer goods from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Road Bunny Vintage (Keokuk, IA)

Erin curates 60 to 90s clothing, with a focus on motorcycle and band/ music tees, plus leather and special true vintage pieces mixed in.

Odd Man Out (Des Moines, IA)

James is an old school Des Moines guy who’s been buying / collecting tees and denim for a long time! He loves the rare bins finds and just about anything music related.

Thrift 36Five (Des Moines, IA)

Ozzy (a Rumors and Rogue Planet Music employee!) sells a range of vintage on eBay. He has a great eye for men’s workwear, athletic wear, classic and grungy styles from 50’s-90’s

Rad Bonnie’s Vintage (Ankeny, IA)

A majority of Brooke’s inventory is from the 1930s-1980s. She recently had an incredible outwear/coats and jackets buy which she’s very excited to bring. Brooke has something for everyone and carries sizes xxs-5x.

The Archive (Des Moines, IA)

You may know Phoenix from the big selection of vintage clothing found at The Picker Knows! He brings a good mixture of your favorite vintage t-shirts and a curated selection of stylish pieces.

Violet Daze Vintage (Madison, WI)

Kat sells women's and men's vintage clothing and accessories from 1970 and earlier. Special focus on mod, flower power and western and well made local workwear.

VZZ Vintage (Des Moines, IA)

VZZ carries an eclectic mix of 60’s-90’s/00’s clothing and decor with vibrant colors, prints & patterns. Unique accessories featuring 80s/90s jewelry, belts, purses & footwear.

Moon River Vintage (Elkhart, IA)

You can find a little bit of everything in Jamie’s booth! Lots of mid century home decor. Clothes ranging from all over, but mostly 60s-90s. She also has tons of funky vintage earrings and other accessories and $6 mystery bags and a $10 bargain bin!

Buffalo Shadows (Dayton, IA)

Kayla enjoys collecting western wear & clothing that reminds her of simpler times. Her southern heart loves classic western wear, and her love for the 70s-90s really shows in her collection. Kayla’s husband’s name is Jordan a he is a rock hound and musician. He'll find any old rock and make it into a beautiful ring with his lapidary and silver work skills

Jennifer focuses on curated, sustainable, pre-loved, slow fashion that showcases quality and current trends that inspire individuals to look at fashion and home décor in a stylish, unique, eco-conscious way.

Burning Magnolias (Ames, IA)

Malena curates vintage clothing from or inspired by the 60s/70s in addition to western wear. Some rare and unique pieces from other eras are mixed in as well.

Rogue Planet Music (Des Moines, IA)

RPM is a vintage vinyl shop connected to Rumors at the market’s location! It is locally owned by John Pope and Jesse Pace. Together they curate an impressive variety of records and stereo equipment, and they provide the warm hi-fi system with which DJ’s play music all day at Heartland.

Jaded Vintage (Ottumwa, IA)

Josalyn doesn’t discriminate! She loves all things Vintage. Majority of clothes are from 60s-90s. She tries to curate vintage clothes to meet current fashion trends.

Rumors (Des Moines, IA)

Rumors is our host! Owner Allison Lyons started Heartland Bazaar just 2 short months after opening her brick and mortar shop in 2019. With a big parking lot next to the shop, she had a vision and made it happen.
